Scoil Dara junior hurlers played a hard fought game against St Ciaran's Community College in Kells. Against the wind in the first half it was tough to stay in touch with the Kells hurlers but some good free taking from Jamie Cleere and Sean O Neill kept the score board ticking over. The second half was a much better showing with goals coming from Sean O Neill (2) and Fionn McNerney and some great saves from Edward O Shea in goals. The whole team battled hard but unfortunately lost out in the end. The stand out players along with Sean and Edward were Jack Behan, Calvin Boyle and Tadhg Flynn. The hurlers hope to compete in the shield competition in the coming weeks.
