I wish to inform you that, as part of their authentic experience of learning French, I am in the process
of finding a pen pal for your child.
The French schools we are in contact with are called the Lycée Bellevue, situated in a town called
Saintes, on the west coast, between Bordeaux et La Rochelle for our senior students, and the Collège Jean Cocteau, in a town called Beaulieu sur Mer, on the Riviera, near Nice for our junior students.
Students will, in the first instance, exchange letters which I will check.
I will also provide a class photo to the class they are writing to, and a short video presentation of
our students, which will be reciprocated.
Feel free, as time goes by, to discuss with your child if you wish him/her to have further contact
with their pen pal, whether on social networks or with the view of organising holidays or an exchange.
Regular conversations with their pen pal will greatly help with their progress in the language.
Our school cannot, of course, take responsibility for any personal contact or arrangement between your child and the pen pal which would take place outside our organised and supervised activities.
I hope your child finds the experience valuable and fruitful.
